Unlearning pedagogy

This is a presentation (wordpress won’t let me embed it) I put together for my post grad course on online learning. It summarises a very thought provoking article I found in the Journal of Learning Design.

The author outlines seven deadly teaching habits:

  1. The more learning the better
  2. Teacher should know more than students
  3. Teachers lead, students follow
  4. Teachers assess, students are assessed
  5. Curriculum must be set in advance
  6. The more we know our students, the better
  7. Our disciplines can save the world
Sound familiar?  The sixth one is interesting.
